ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accredited Calibration Services
Anyone can print a certificate. Accreditation means an independent body has verified that ours are worth the paper — and re-verifies it, year after year.
ACS Calibration is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation (PJLA #98908), and has been since 2018. Our scope is public — verify it independently anytime.
Accreditation at a Glance
What Is ISO/IEC 17025:2017?
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality, and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories. It is the international benchmark a laboratory must meet to prove that its measurements — and the people, methods, equipment, and quality system behind them — can be trusted.
The distinction that matters: certification means a company says it follows a standard; accreditation means an independent accreditation body has assessed the laboratory’s actual technical competence — witnessed the methods, audited the traceability chains, reviewed the uncertainty budgets — and formally attests to it. ACS is assessed by Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation on a continuous cycle, so our accreditation is never a one-time trophy; it’s a standing obligation.
For your quality system, that means calibration certificates your auditors accept without argument — whether the audit is ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, FDA, CLIA, or a customer’s own quality team reading line by line.
Why Accredited Calibration Matters
- Accredited certificates on request — with reported measurement uncertainty, for every instrument on our scope
- Verified traceability — our reference standards and their NIST-traceable pedigrees are audited, not asserted
- Continuous assessment — PJLA re-examines our competence on an ongoing cycle, so the accreditation you rely on today was checked recently
- One vendor, full coverage — instruments outside our scope receive NIST-traceable calibration with identical data rigor, or QA-reviewed accredited subcontract through our approved vendors
