Infrared Thermometer Calibration Services
Non-contact convenience, contact-level accountability — 35 to 500 °C on our accredited scope.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready infrared thermometer calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Temperature from -196 °C to 420 °C, infrared to 500 °C, and humidity from 30 to 75 %RH are on our accredited scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Temperature & Humidity Instruments We Calibrate
From cryogenic checks to furnace controllers — if it reads degrees or percent RH, we can almost certainly handle it.
Frequently serviced brands: Traceable (Control Company), Gemini Tinytag, T&D, MadgeTech, Fluke, ThermoWorks, LogTag, and ThermoPro — plus dozens more.
Fast Readings, Honest Readings
IR guns get pointed at everything: food lines, breaker panels, bearings, molds, patients’ foreheads. Speed is the whole appeal — and the whole risk. Emissivity settings, spot-size-to-distance ratios, and a lens fogged with shop haze all skew readings, and unlike a contact probe, there’s no immersion error to warn you something’s off.
We calibrate infrared thermometers against a blackbody infrared calibrator across our accredited 35 to 500 °C range, at multiple points, with as-found and as-left data documented — separating instrument error from technique error so your temperature checks stand on the instrument, not the operator’s wrist angle.
Most IR guns share a drawer with contact digital thermometers used to settle disagreements — calibrate both together, add the rest of the thermometer fleet, and the whole temperature program lands on one audit-ready cycle.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Infrared Thermometer Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Temperature (-196 to 420 °C), infrared (35–500 °C), and humidity (30–75 %RH) are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.
Flexible Logistics
Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.
