Taper Gage Calibration Services
Slide it in, read the gap — taper gages make fast measurements that are only as honest as their taper.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready taper gage calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
The Wedge That Reads Gaps
Taper gages measure gaps, slots, and hole diameters by feel and graduation — panel gaps on vehicle assembly lines, weld gaps, hole checks where a caliper can’t reach. The wedge’s graduated taper is the entire calibration: edge wear and dings change the effective reading while the etched scale stays confidently the same.
We calibrate taper gages under our accredited dimensional scope against gage blocks and reference standards, verifying the taper at multiple graduations with as-found data documented — worn gages flagged before they pass bad gaps.
Taper gages travel with feeler gages and pin gages in the same attribute-check drawer — batch the drawer to one due date.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Our accredited dimensional scope covers calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and more — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
