Pin Gage Calibration Services
Go, no-go, and nothing in between — pins only work when their diameter is documented.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready pin gage calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
The Gage That Is the Tolerance
A pin gage doesn’t measure a hole — it is the limit. Go in, no-go out, decision made. Which means the pin’s actual diameter is the entire ballgame: every insertion drags metal on metal, and a pin worn a few ten-thousandths under size starts accepting holes the print rejects. Nobody sees it happen; the parts just start fitting looser downstream.
We calibrate cylindrical plug and pin gages up to 1 inch under our accredited dimensional scope, verifying actual diameter against reference standards with as-found data — so class tolerances (ZZ, Z, X) are confirmed rather than assumed, and worn pins get flagged before they pass bad holes.
Full pin gage sets calibrate to one due date, go/no-go gages get the same treatment, and the micrometers that check pins in-house can ride the same shipment.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Pin Gage Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, pin gages, and feeler gages are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited dimensional scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
