Indicator Calibration Services
Runout, flatness, TIR — when the needle swings, somebody makes a decision.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready indicator calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
The Needle That Decides
Indicators are decision instruments: the runout check before a shaft ships, the tram on a mill head, the fixture repeatability study, the TIR reading that accepts or rejects a spindle. Nobody records “the needle moved about this much” — the number gets written down, and the part moves or stops based on it.
We calibrate indicators from 0.05 to 4 inches of travel under our accredited dimensional scope — multiple points through the range, in both directions where the mechanism allows, with as-found and as-left readings that put repeatability and hysteresis on the record.
Every style is covered: dial indicators, lever-type test indicators, and digital models — plus the height gages and comparator stands they ride on. Send the drawer, get back one synchronized cycle.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Indicator Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, pin gages, and feeler gages are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited dimensional scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
