Digital Micrometer Calibration Services
The display reads to fifty-millionths. The question is whether it should.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready digital micrometer calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Resolution Is Not Accuracy
A digital micrometer displays five decimal places with total confidence — but resolution and accuracy are different animals. The encoder reports what the spindle does; it cannot know the anvils are worn, the frame is sprung, or the zero was set against a dirty face. Electronics make the reading easier to see, not truer.
Calibration is what closes that gap: gage-block verification at multiple points through the range under our accredited scope (0.05 to 6 inches), with as-found and as-left data that shows exactly what the display was hiding. Output-equipped mics used with SPC data collection stay defensible from measurement to database.
We calibrate the whole precision drawer together: mechanical outside mics, the broader micrometer family, and the calipers that do the first-pass work — in-lab with 4–6 day turnaround or onsite.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Digital Micrometer Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, pin gages, and feeler gages are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited dimensional scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.
Flexible Logistics
Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.
