Test Indicator Calibration Services
The finger that finds a tenth of runout can’t be lying about it.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready test indicator calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Small Lever, Big Claims
Test indicators — the lever-style “fingers” — do the most delicate work in the shop: picking up a bore center, sweeping a tenth of runout, aligning a vise to the spindle. Their contact points wear, pivots loosen, and because the lever geometry already invites cosine error, a worn mechanism stacks error on error while the operator trusts every swing.
We calibrate test indicators under our accredited dimensional scope at multiple points through the travel, in both directions, with as-found and as-left readings — separating what’s mechanism error from what’s technique before it costs a setup.
Test indicators rarely work alone: the height gages they mount to, the dial indicators beside them, and the full indicator family all share our accredited coverage — and one shipment keeps the inspection bench on a single cycle.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Test Indicator Calibration
