Analytical Balance Calibration Services
Four decimal places of trust — your assay results are only as good as the balance under them.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready analytical balance calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Balances from 2 g through 3,000 g are on our accredited scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Scales & Balances We Calibrate
From 0.1 mg analytical balances to 5,000 lb floor scales — if it weighs, we calibrate it.
Frequently serviced brands: Ohaus, Mettler Toledo, CAS, A&D Weighing, Rice Lake, Health-o-meter, ULINE, KERN, Chatillon, and Seca — plus dozens more.
The 0.1 mg Standard of Care
An analytical balance is the most precise instrument most facilities own, and the most sensitive to its environment: drafts, vibration, static, a bench that isn’t level, a sample that isn’t at temperature. Against all that noise, calibration is the one variable you fully control — and the one an auditor will ask about first.
We calibrate analytical balances with certified Class 1 weights — repeatability, eccentricity, and linearity, with as-found and as-left readings documented. The 2 g to 500 g analytical range is on our accredited scope, and the repeatability data on your certificate is exactly what quality systems lean on when establishing minimum sample weights.
Sensitive balances travel badly, so onsite calibration at your bench is the right call for the analytical fleet. Round out the lab with precision balances, general lab balances, and pipettes on the same visit.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Analytical Balance Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Balances to 3,000 g and scales to 750 lb are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope — accredited certificates on request, with NIST-traceable coverage to 5,000 lb.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.
Flexible Logistics
Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.
