Benchtop scales carry the highest transaction count in most operations: every portion, every batch ingredient, every parcel at the shipping desk. An accredited certificate is issued when the scale’s range is on our current PJLA scope.
Each calibration covers corner-load (eccentricity), repeatability, and linearity with certified test weights, plus as-found and as-left readings — so if a scale has been shorting or overfilling since last cycle, you’ll know by how much and since when.
Bench scales usually have bigger siblings: platform scales in receiving and industrial floor scales in production, with accredited certificates when the range is on our current PJLA scope, and non-accredited NIST-traceable calibration for larger scales. Onsite calibration covers the whole population in one visit.
