The Number the Operator Logs
Panel-mounted RPM indicators translate a sensor pulse into the number operators run the process by — agitator speed, line speed, pump RPM. Between the pickup, the signal conditioning, and the display, there’s plenty of room for the shown number and the shaft’s reality to drift apart, and the process log inherits whichever number the panel prefers.
We calibrate RPM indicators under our accredited rotational-speed scope — reference signals applied across the operating range, 60 to 18,000 rpm sourced and beyond verified by measurement to 99,900 rpm — with as-found and as-left data per point.
Indicators calibrate naturally alongside the handheld tachometers used to spot-check them and the speed indicators on neighboring lines — typically onsite, since panels don’t travel.
