Timer & Stopwatch Calibration Services
Seconds feel free — until a timed process, test, or assay says otherwise.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready timer and stopwatch calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Frequency to 10 MHz, rotational speed to 99,900 rpm, and timers to 24 hours are on our accredited scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Speed, Time & Frequency Instruments We Calibrate
RPM, hertz, and seconds — from plant-floor tachometers to laboratory centrifuges.
Frequently serviced brands: Traceable (Control Company), Shimpo, Extech, Eppendorf, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Micron — plus dozens more.
Time Is the Cheapest Measurement to Get Wrong
Timed steps hide everywhere in quality systems: incubation periods, cure windows, sterilization holds, test durations, mixing cycles. The timers running them are commodity hardware doing regulated work — and quartz bases drift, buttons develop lag, and cheap movements age, all invisibly, because nobody ever checks a clock against anything.
We calibrate timers and stopwatches under our accredited scope to 86,400 seconds — a full 24 hours — against reference time standards, with as-found and as-left data. Digital and mechanical units both, from lab bench timers to process countdown clocks.
Fleets are the norm: a box of stopwatches, the wall timers in every lab, the countdown units on the line — batch-calibrated to one due date, alongside the data loggers and thermometers from the same rooms.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Timer & Stopwatch Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Frequency (1 Hz–10 MHz), rotational speed (to 99,900 rpm), and timers/stopwatches (to 24 hours) are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.
Flexible Logistics
Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.
