True-RMS Multimeter Calibration Services
Modern loads are ugly waveforms — true-RMS is the only honest way to read them.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready true-RMS multimeter calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. DC and AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance — sourcing and measuring — are on our accredited electrical scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Reading Reality, Not the Average
VFDs, LED drivers, switching power supplies — modern electrical loads chop the sine wave to pieces, and an averaging meter can read 10–40% low on them. True-RMS meters exist to read distorted waveforms honestly, which means their calibration has to prove accuracy where it matters: across frequency, not just at 60 Hz.
We calibrate true-RMS multimeters under our accredited electrical scope with AC voltage verified at multiple frequencies — the scope spans 5 Hz to 500 kHz on AC measurement — plus DC functions, current, resistance, and capacitance, all with as-found and as-left readings documented.
Pair the meters with the clamp meters reading the same panels and the standard DMMs across the shop — and if a frequency counter lives on the bench, it rides the same cycle.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for True-RMS Multimeter Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. DC/AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited electrical scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
