Analog & Electric Multimeter Calibration Services
VOMs and panel meters still run half of industry — and their needles still need the truth.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready electric multimeter calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. DC and AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance — sourcing and measuring — are on our accredited electrical scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
The Meters That Outlived Their Manuals
Analog VOMs, panel-mounted meters, and old-school electric multimeters are still wired into control cabinets and tool cribs everywhere — often because they’re trusted, sometimes because nobody dares remove them. Their moving-coil movements wear, springs relax, and pivots gum up, drifting the needle in ways a glance at a familiar scale never catches.
We calibrate analog and electric multimeters under our accredited electrical scope — voltage, current, and resistance functions at multiple points per range, with as-found and as-left data. A meter that’s been in the cabinet twenty years leaves with the same defensible certificate as a new bench DMM.
Modernizing? Calibrate the replacement digital multimeter against the same standards before the changeover, and keep panel volt meters and the rest of the cabinet instrumentation on one cycle — onsite if the panel can’t come to us.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Electric Multimeter Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. DC/AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited electrical scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
