ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready height gage calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Vertical Truth on a Granite Plate
The height gage anchors the inspection department: layout lines scribed before machining, first-article dimensions checked after, every measurement referenced to the same granite plate. An error in the height gage propagates into both — the part gets made wrong and then inspected wrong, by the same instrument, in the same direction.
We calibrate height gages from 0.05 to 20 inches under our accredited dimensional scope, against gage blocks on a surface plate, at multiple points through the travel with as-found and as-left data recorded. Vernier, dial, and electronic models are all covered.
Height gages work in a system: the test indicators they carry, the indicators on the comparator stands beside them, and the calipers and micrometers that share the bench. One shipment — or one onsite visit — keeps the whole plate on one cycle.
