Insulation Tester Calibration Services
Megohms decide whether the motor gets re-energized. Guess wrong and it’s not the motor that pays.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready insulation tester calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. DC and AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance — sourcing and measuring — are on our accredited electrical scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
High Voltage, Higher Stakes
Insulation testers and megohmmeters make safety calls: whether a motor winding is fit for service, whether a cable run passes, whether the maintenance program’s trend data means anything. Both sides of the instrument matter — the test voltage it applies and the resistance it reads — and both drift with age and use.
We calibrate insulation testers under our accredited electrical scope: resistance verified across our accredited ranges to 100 MΩ with higher ranges NIST-traceable, and output test voltages measured against reference standards with high-voltage coverage to 6 kV. As-found and as-left data documents both sides.
Electrical safety programs run on more than one instrument: multimeters, clamp meters, and ground-bond and hipot equipment can share the cycle — ask us about the full bench.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Insulation Tester Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. DC/AC voltage, current, resistance, and capacitance are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited electrical scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
