Telescoping Gage Set Calibration Services

The bore transfer tool everyone learned on — still doing precision work, still needing proof.

ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready telescoping gage set services, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators are all on our accredited dimensional scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.

Dimensional Instruments We Calibrate

If it measures in thousandths — or tenths of thousandths — we can almost certainly handle it.

Frequently serviced brands: Mitutoyo, Starrett, Fowler, Precision Brand, SPI, and Insize — plus dozens more.

Accredited Dimensional Capability

These ranges appear on our PJLA scope of accreditation — verify it independently anytime. Rulers to 40 in, cylindrical plugs and pins to 1 in, feeler and thickness gages to 0.5 in, and optical comparator X–Y linearity are also on scope. Calibrations are performed against gage blocks and reference standards in our climate-controlled laboratory.

Why It Matters

Transfer Tools Carry the Error Forward

Telescoping gages transfer a bore diameter to a micrometer — which means gage condition and mic condition stack into one number. Worn contact ends, weak spring tension, and sticky locking mechanisms all corrupt the transfer, and the mic faithfully measures the corrupted result.

We calibrate telescoping gage sets under our accredited dimensional scope, verifying contact geometry and dimensional performance with as-found data per gage, returned as a set on one due date. Calibrate the micrometers they feed on the same cycle — the transfer is only as good as both ends.

Deliverables

What You Get With Every Calibration

  • NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
  • As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
  • ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
  • Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
The ACS Difference

Why Companies Choose ACS for Telescoping Gage Set Services

NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request

Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, pin gages, and feeler gages are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited dimensional scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.

4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround

Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.

Flexible Logistics

Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.

How It Works

Calibration Without the Hassle

1. Ship It or Schedule Us

Send your instrument to our Dothan, AL laboratory — or book onsite service and we come to your facility.

2. NIST-Traceable Calibration

ASQ Certified Technicians calibrate your instrument against NIST-traceable reference standards — in our lab or at your facility.

3. Audit-Ready Certificate

Your instrument returns with a NIST-traceable certificate documenting as-found and as-left data. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates available on request.
