Viscosity is a product spec in coatings, foods, cosmetics, lubricants, and pharma — and the viscometer reading it is a precision instrument spinning on tiny torque margins. Bearing wear, spindle damage, and drive drift all shift readings within a range where a few percent decides pass or fail against the customer’s spec sheet.
