Tension Meter Calibration Services

Strap, cable, belt, and wire tension — specs with real consequences, read by a meter that has to be right.

ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready tension meter calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Force calibration up to 100 lbf is on our accredited scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.

Torque & Force Tools We Calibrate

If it tightens, twists, pushes, or pulls, we can almost certainly handle it.

Frequently serviced brands: Chatillon, Mark-10, Imada, Dillon, Shimpo, Wagner, Jamar, Magtrol, and Instron — plus dozens more.

Accredited Force Capability

These ranges appear on our PJLA scope of accreditation — verify it independently anytime. Instruments above these ranges receive NIST-traceable calibration with the same documented data.

Why It Matters

Tension Is a Specification, Not a Feel

Tension meters and tensiometers put numbers on what riggers and operators used to judge by hand: strapping on a pallet, cable and guy-wire tension, belt tension on drives, wire tension in winding and EDM operations. Tensitron and similar meters carry tight tolerances — and spring mechanisms and load elements drift with the same cycles that make them useful.

We calibrate tension meters under our accredited force capability (up to 100 lbf, higher ranges NIST-traceable) with as-found and as-left data across the working range — so pass/fail tension calls trace to a standard, not a memory of how it used to feel.

Tension work keeps force company: force gauges, dynamometers, and pull testers ride the same shipment and the same cycle.

Deliverables

What You Get With Every Calibration

  • NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
  • As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
  • ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
  • Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
The ACS Difference

Why Companies Choose ACS

NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request

Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Force calibration up to 100 lbf is on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.

4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround

Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.

Flexible Logistics

Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.

How It Works

Calibration Without the Hassle

1. Ship It or Schedule Us

Send your instrument to our Dothan, AL laboratory — or book onsite service and we come to your facility.

2. NIST-Traceable Calibration

ASQ Certified Technicians calibrate your instrument against NIST-traceable reference standards — in our lab or at your facility.

3. Audit-Ready Certificate

Your instrument returns with a NIST-traceable certificate documenting as-found and as-left data. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates available on request.
