Centrifuge Calibration Services
Spin speed and spin time — two numbers your assay results quietly depend on.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready centrifuge calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Frequency to 10 MHz, rotational speed to 99,900 rpm, and timers to 24 hours are on our accredited scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Speed, Time & Frequency Instruments We Calibrate
RPM, hertz, and seconds — from plant-floor tachometers to laboratory centrifuges.
Frequently serviced brands: Traceable (Control Company), Shimpo, Extech, Eppendorf, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Micron — plus dozens more.
RPM Is a Lab Result Waiting to Happen
Centrifuge protocols specify RPM (or RCF) and time because separations depend on both: serum gels, cell pellets, plasma fractions. A rotor spinning 5% slow under-packs every sample, and clinical and laboratory accreditation programs expect documented verification — the inspector will ask for the centrifuge’s calibration record by name.
We calibrate centrifuges non-contact under our accredited rotational-speed scope — rotor RPM verified to 99,900 rpm without touching the rotor, run timers checked against our accredited time capability (to 24 hours) — with as-found and as-left data for both parameters. Eppendorf, Thermo Fisher, and clinical benchtop units are daily work here.
Lab equipment travels badly and downtime hurts, so onsite calibration is the natural fit — and while we’re there, the pipettes, balances, thermometers, and loggers in the same lab can land on the same audit-ready cycle.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
Why Companies Choose ACS for Centrifuge Calibration
NIST-Traceable, Accredited on Request
Every calibration is NIST-traceable with real measurement data. Frequency (1 Hz–10 MHz), rotational speed (to 99,900 rpm), and timers/stopwatches (to 24 hours) are on our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope — accredited certificates available whenever your quality system requires them.
4–6 Business Day Typical Turnaround
Keep production moving. Most instruments are typically completed in 4 to 6 business days from arrival, with rush options available when a line is down.
Flexible Logistics
Mail your instruments in, or schedule onsite calibration and we come to your floor — serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina, and beyond.
