Dial Torque Wrench Calibration Services
A dial torque wrench doesn’t click — it shows you the number. Which means the number has to be right.
ACS Calibration delivers NIST-traceable, audit-ready dial torque wrench calibration, available at the ACS central lab or directly on-site at facilities across the Southeast. Dial torque wrenches fall squarely on our accredited torque scope, so ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificates are available on request.
Torque & Force Tools We Calibrate
If it tightens, twists, pushes, or pulls, we can almost certainly handle it.
Frequently serviced brands: Snap-on, CDI Torque Products, Sturtevant Richmont, Tohnichi, Proto, Husky, Westward, Wiha, and GearWrench — plus dozens more.
Why Dial Wrenches Earn Their Keep — and Their Calibration
A dial torque wrench reads out actual applied torque on a beam-driven dial instead of breaking at a preset — which is why inspectors and quality departments reach for them to audit joints, check residual torque, and troubleshoot fastening problems a click-type wrench would hide. Many carry a memory needle that captures peak torque on a single pull.
That visibility cuts both ways: a bent torsion beam, a sticky movement, or an abused memory needle skews every reading it will ever give you. We calibrate dial wrenches at multiple points across the working range in the direction of use, with as-found and as-left data recorded — so drift is documented, not discovered during an audit.
Dial wrenches from 10–400 in·lb and 33–250 ft·lb are covered by our accredited torque capability; tools outside those ranges receive NIST-traceable calibration with identical documentation. If your program also verifies tools against a bench reference, we calibrate torque meters and analyzers and torque screwdrivers too.
What You Get With Every Calibration
- NIST-traceable calibration certificate with real measurement data — not just a pass/fail sticker
- As-found and as-left readings, so drift is documented
- ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate with reported uncertainty — on request
- Calibration label with due date, plus a reminder before your next calibration is due
